A socially impaired but scientifically brilliant man achieves "cold fusion" - but no one believes it. Then he and his daughter enable space flight with an apparently reactionless drive.
I just finished this, the 4th of the series, and hope for more. With engaging characters, good story lines, a credible depiction of aliens and a plot driven by intriguing "what if?" Science scenarios these are a winner from start to finish.
It's nice to see the process of science depicted: painstaking, usually thankless and luckless. With one notable exception...
I am a voracious sci fi reader and can honestly say I LOVED this series and binged it in 3 days. I've read Dahners' other work and enjoyed it all, but this series takes the prize. I could not stop reading!! Vaz and daughter Tiona are superbly drawn characters. 10 stars for this series!
